The BWPG Cyber Narrative Project

The BWPG Cyber Narrative Project is a research and development project that links the world of theater -- the dramatic narrative that begins its life as live performance -- with original online content based upon the play. The project has been funded by the Joyce Foundation, the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. BWPG has produced two video games, a web site, and an app, 12@12NOON, a SMS (short message service). Our digital content has been used by Penumbra Theater, St. Paul, MN, Geffen Playhouse, Los Angeles, CA, Dallas Theatre Center, Dallas, TX, Lyric Stage, Boston, MA, Goodman Theatre, Chicago, IL, Trustus Theater, Columbia, NC, and Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Washington, DC.
Finding Vera Stark, written by Lynn Nottage and produced in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center, and Market Road Films.
PowerBomb, written by Kristoffer Diaz, based on his play, The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety, in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center. 12@12Noon, a new series that will make you laugh, cry, and gasp as twelve concise lines introduce you to memorable characters at pivotal moments. Look for us on your phone in the near future!
